Varying styles of citation use different methods of recognizing the work of others in the text of a paper you write.  It becomes important to then look at the style you are required to use in order to further outline how you are to format your in-text citation. 

Our citing guide provides links and resources to apply styles that we have seen used on our campus. Follow the link provided below, then select the page on the left hand navigation that covers your required style.

For MLA and APA, look for the link labeled "In-text Citations". This takes you to the OWL at Purdue website for detailed instruction on how to cite in-text.
