Varying styles of citation use different methods of recognizing the work of others in the text of a paper you write. It becomes important to then look at the style you are required to use in order to further outline how you are to format your in-text citation.

For MLA and APA, look for the link labeled "In-text Citations". This takes you to the OWL at Purdue website for detailed instruction on how to cite in-text.
